As we all prepared to enjoy a delightful Monday night slate of MLB games, the horrible news of Tyler Skaggs’ passing swept through the baseball world.
Skaggs was a big, 27 year old lefty, who had grown up in Southern California. Drafted in the 1st round of 2009 MLB draft, Skaggs played parts of seven Major League seasons with the DBacks and back with the Halos, compiling a 28-38 record, with a 4.41 ERA.
His last MLB appearance was Saturday at home against the A’s, as he pitched into the fifth, giving up two hits and two runs. Those game highlights can be seen below:
Thoughts and prayers to his teammates, friends, and family, and RIP to Tyler Skaggs.
