As it is every June 15th, today is Nature Photography Day!
As we begin to enter the Summer season (OFFICIALLY on Saturday…), now is a great time to get outside. Some of us might be looking forward to restarting new season hobbies, while others might be looking for something new. Enter: nature photography. What better way to truly enjoy the splendor of the great outdoors than by taking a digital keepsake? As the old saying goes “take a picture, it’ll last longer,” that certainly is true, and if you can capture a portrait at just the right time, it will be able to transport you back to that wonderful moment any time you look at it!
While I’m not much into photography or nature, I have found myself looking for new things to do, as quarantine has kept the bars closed (hopefully not for much longer). Being that she is a much better person than I, the girlfriend has been bringing up ideas that involve us getting outside and exploring more often. Sure, you won’t see me hiking up Everest anytime soon (fuck, what am I saying…you won’t see me hiking up it ever), but we’ve definitely hit up some nature trails for a little exercise, and to just visit places that we haven’t seen before, together. I’d even be lying if I said I haven’t taken my phone out once or twice to snap a picski.
