Good Morning Jamokes, it’s Thursday May 7, 2020!
As it is every May 7th, today is National Roast Leg of Lamb Day!
Roast leg of lamb is what I like to call a “celebration meal.’ This can best be described as something you generally have for a holiday. Similarly to a rib roast, or maybe a honey baked ham, you won’t normally find someone preparing a roast leg of lamb on a rando Tuesday night (although that would be awesome). Lamb is a lead, red meat, that has many positive impacts. It’s PACKED with protein (approx 25g/3 oz), and can help with potassium, vitamin B-12, and iron, as well as other important nutrients.
On par with what I mentioned above, I’m sure there are a lot of people who have never tried leg of lamb. Hell, a meat-eating fiend such as myself has probably only had it a few times in my life. Sometimes, people have trouble eating certain animals, because they’ve seen and/or interacted with them before, and I’m sure lamb falls into that category for some people. However, I must say, if you get the opportunity, I highly recommend it.
Hey kids, eat an adorable animal, and I’ll see you tomorrow, when it’s time to celebrate…
