As it is every November 19th, today is National Play Monopoly Day!
Monopoly is arguably the most popular board game in the World. Based off of a concept by Elizabeth Magie in 1902, Monopoly has been enjoyed by millions since its introduction in 1935, by Parker Brothers.
Of course, Monopoly was many of our first introduction to real estate, taxes, and greed (unknowingly). While the original version is known for Baltic Ave, Boardwalk, Park Place, and even jail, many new specialized versions have been introduced recently. These include Yankees Edition (with Babe Ruth and Derek Jeter), Pokemon Monopoly, Star Ward Monopoly, and Monopoly: Ultimate Banking Edition.
