Good Morning Jamokes, it’s Wednesday November 20, 2019!
As it is every November 20th, today is National Peanut Butter Fudge Day!
As we all know, fudge came to be in 1886. Vassar student Emelyn Bettersby Hartridge found a letter from a cousin, describing fudge, that she had been selling. It was called “fudge,” because it was a fudged attempt at making caramels. Two years later, Emelyn got the recipe and produced a large batch for her classmates. Soon after, shops on Mackinac Island, Michigan produced similar items, including other varieties, and sold them to those vacationing in the area.
Hey kids, indulge your sweet tooth, and I’ll see you tomorrow, when it’s time to celebrate…
