Good Morning Jamokes, it’s Friday March 6, 2020!
As it is every March 6th, today is National Crown Roast of Pork Day!
The crown roast of pork gets it’s name for a very simple reason, it’s appearance! It is a pork loin in a circular shape, who’s ribs point upwards, resembling a crown! Once the pork loin is seasoned, it’s tied together (to maintain it’s shape), then roasted. Eventually, it is laid upon the table in a most elegant way.
FINALLY! There are so many goddamn sweets days, and so few meat days! Hell, even today, I had to choose National Crown Roast of Pork Day over National Flapjack Day…do you think that was easy??? For real, I’m a big time pork guy, so I’m loving this. After red meat, my go to is normally pork. Maybe I just found dinner for tonight?
Hey kids, have a regal dinner, and I’ll see you Monday, when it’s time to celebrate…
